Top 4 universities got banned in Pakistan, due to lack academic regularities and misconduct

According to the latest announcement, (HEC) Higher Education Commission , has banned four renowned Universities namely, Preston Institute of Management Sciences and Technology, Karachi, Imperial College of Business Studies, Lahore, Global Institute, Lahore, and Al-Khair University, AJK from approving any student admission for any degree programme, incase of academic irregularities and misconduct.
Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, chairman HEC stated, “We banned the institutions from offering admissions in the recent pasts, but they are violating the ban, so we issued this warning today.” He also added the new rule not only apply to main campuses, but also their branches, sub-campuses, or even associated colleges.
The Chairman HEC added, in conversation with the prime minister directives, country wide universities were visited by the HEC panel back in 2016, in order to review quality and governance practices.
The universities were asked to overcome deficiencies which were reported as unsatisfactory. regardless of numerous reminders yet four above mentioned institutions still haven’t complied, consequently, they are strictly ordered to stop student’s admission for the academic programmes.
