The giant tech Google is working on a smart file manager of its own, and hopefully will become the next app to reach billion downloads.

Google released a file manager app on play store for few hours yesterday. And people in no time downloaded and uploaded the APK on different mirror links. The new smart storage app is called “Files Go”. It will give the users complete control over their files complimenting some interesting features in order to keep the phone clean and organized.

The app contains 2 tabs, Files tab and Storage tab. The Storage tab will show the storage summary of the user’s phone. It will show the space left on the phone. It will also give some suggestions in order to free space on phone. It may say how much space the particular app cache is consuming and this way user can easily clear it with just one tap. Furthermore, it will automatically detect similar files, junk media, downloaded files and large files with just on a tap.

Whereas, the Files tab will allow the users to access files in one place. It’s another interesting feature will allow the user to receive and send files wirelessly even with internet connection. The user can also control different notification settings. It may notify the user if the device is low on storage or the apps which the user has not used them for more than a month. Google Files Go file manager is a complete file manager for Android device and it is user friendly. Of course Google knows the Android best.

Unfortunately the app has been taken down from the Google Play Store but one can still try the app by downloading the APK file by manually installing it. It is supported on any Android 5.0 device Lollipop or above.
