Malaria months will now be predicted before its outbreaks via satellite images

According to the most recent research revealed innovative technology which will be helpful in prediction of the outbreaks of malaria month before it gets viral, and this will be possible by satellite data.

Peruvian government researchers are funded for the said project and they will be using Nasa satellites for malaria prevention updates. The main aim behind is look out for significant environmental data, which may be useful in prevention of the fatal outbreaks in its initial stage. The recent research illustrate that the malaria prediction is possible three months before it essentially begin.

Basically malaria mosquito lay eggs in warm temperature areas and stagnant waters, and the satellite will play an important role to spot the future breeding areas of mosquitoes. Keeping in view the researchers are noting down the areas where it will suitable for mosquitoes to lay eggs.

The Land Data Assimilation System (LDAS) is a Nasa weather satellites used as a blend with a exterior modeling software in order to discover the areas from the space. The system can be in collaboration and will be used to calculate temperatures, intensity of rainfalls, soil humidity altitude and lastly vegetation in any particular area. While currently the system isn’t fully functional, but it might be operational within couple of years.

The countries closer to Amazon vicinity like Peru are more on a higher risk of getting Malaria outbreaks. Peru recently was the only country to register 65,000 malaria affected cases within a year.
