A big step towards education, top 5 universities of Russia have now include Cryptocurrency courses in their syllabus.

The top 5 leading universities in Russia have initiated to offer courses in cryptocurrency beside their existing business and finance curriculum. This decision was taken after high public interest in blockchain technology and cryptocurrency.

A managing board member of Moscow State University’s Financial Analytics program, Mr. Sergy Studnikov presented the detailed plan of university regarding cryptocurrency course, he stated, “we will have master class immediately for numerous programs, and we will be inviting industry representatives.” Higher School of Economics, and other leading universities of Russia, is now included cryptocurrency topic in Financial Technologies course. Saint Petersburg State University has also included along with finance, banking and economic market program.


A huge increase is witness in the popularity of cryptocurrency in recent years. And for now keeping this in view the industries in Russian have demanded for cryptocurrency courses from their partner universities. One of the industrial partner Sberbank of Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology have started a basic scientific lab in order to conduct research on cryptocurrency.

The backbone technology behind Bitcoin is Blockchain, is also trying to discover its application in different fields as well. Russia’s neighboring country, Ukraine is thinking to consider it to implement on a state level. Recently Russia’s leading university of metallurgy and steel making has signed an agreement with the government owned bank in order to generate a center for materials and breakthrough technology spotlighting Blockchain.

New York University (NYU) was the first university to take the initiative of offering “the Law and Business of Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies” back  in 2014. After then Stanford and Princeton Universities followed the steps in offering online cryptocurrency courses.
