A 10-Year-Old Boy Invents A Device That Could Save Children From Dying Inside Hot Cars
It’s absolutely heartbreaking the number of children who have died from heatstroke since 1998. The high number of heatstroke dates are often in line with children being locked in a hot car for long periods of time without access to cold water or even fresh air.
Over 712 lives have been lost in senseless and preventable ways. It’s a summer time topic of discussion every parent dread to talk about and it’s a topic every parent is scared about.
Leaving your child in a locked car with no window open for a long period of time is never a good idea. It can often have deadly consequences and it’s preventable.
Thankfully people are coming up with incredible inventions and ideas that will hopefully prevent children from dying of heatstroke as a result of this deadly mistake.
Bishop Curry, who is just 10 years old, is one of those people. He desperately wants to help to try and save people’s lives.
At the moment there are very few solutions to help prevent children from dying from heatstroke. It’s a preventable accident, but people often forget about it.
It would be handy if something was available to the child in the car that could help them in deadly situations like being locked in a hot car.A brilliant 10-year-old boy named Bishop Curry created a prototype for a device that could save lives.
He got the idea for the Oasis after he learned that a neighbor’s six-month-old baby had died after being left in an overheated car.Although it’s currently a 3-D clay model, Bishop’s incredible and creative design incorporates both cooling applications as well as being able to alert authorities and parent a via antenna that a child has been left in a hot car.
So far, Bishop and his dad have raised over $24,000 through a GoFundMe account to help pay for the patent and the manufacturing costs.
It’s an ingenious idea that could save lives, and it’s made even more special because this simple idea was thought of by such a young and incredible child.Because of his incredible idea, Bishop could go on to save countless lives with his invention!
This device is truly incredible!
